License Terms

Version 1.0 — applies to every pack obtained through a HookCrate license.

These terms are between you (the "Licensee") and the operator of HookCrate (the "Licensor"). Payment is processed by Stripe as merchant of record; Stripe's purchase terms govern billing, taxes and refunds processing, and these terms govern your use of the packs.

1. What you get

1.1 A per-seat license: one license key for one human user. You may install packs in any number of projects and on any number of machines that you personally use.

1.2 Monthly plan: access to download and update all packs while the subscription is active. Packs already installed keep working after cancellation, but you may not download new versions or new packs.

1.3 Lifetime plan: a one-time payment for access to all current and future packs for as long as the service operates, with no further charges.

1.4 You may modify the pack files for your own use.

2. What you may not do

2.1 No redistribution. You may not share, publish, sell, sublicense, mirror or otherwise make the pack files, previews, or your license key available to anyone else — including in public repositories, gists, marketplaces, plugin registries, or team-wide shares — whether modified or not.

2.2 No team use on one key. Each person who uses the packs needs their own license. Contact the Licensor for team pricing.

2.3 No circumvention. You may not attempt to bypass license validation, scrape the download API, or extract packs you have not licensed.

2.4 You may not represent the packs as your own work or remove attribution from them.

Committing installed pack files into a private repository used by licensed users only is permitted. If other contributors to that repository will use the packs, they need licenses too.

3. Updates and changes

The Licensor may add, change, improve or retire packs at any time. Retiring a pack does not entitle you to a refund, but installed copies are yours to keep under these terms.

4. Termination

The Licensor may revoke a key that is shared, resold, or used to circumvent the service. On revocation, section 2 continues to apply to any files you retain.

5. Warranty and liability

The packs are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. They are tools that run inside your development environment; you are responsible for reviewing them before use and for the results of running them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensor is not liable for any damages arising from use of the packs, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

6. Privacy

The license service stores the email address from your Stripe checkout, your plan, your license key and timestamps, plus short-lived rate-limit counters. Pack scripts run locally and send nothing to the Licensor.

7. Refunds

Refund requests are handled through Stripe. Lifetime purchases may be refunded within 14 days if no packs were downloaded; monthly subscriptions can be cancelled any time and are not pro-rated.

8. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be posted on the site with a new version number. Continued downloads after a change mean acceptance; if you disagree, stop downloading — your existing installs remain under the version you accepted.
